Regrettably, he was placed in a chokehold and subsequently lost consciousness.

However, concerns have arisen regarding the adequacy of the life-saving efforts, as it is reported that the officer administering aid made only a half-hearted attempt to assist. Furthermore, chest compressions were administered at a notably sluggish pace, and no breaths were provided during CPR. Shockingly, the man remained handcuffed while what was purported to be CPR was being administered. Eyewitnesses at the scene have indicated that the three officers involved did not appear genuinely committed to preserving the man’s life.

Following these events, the man was transported to McLaren Port Huron, where he was regrettably pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Joshua Conant, hailing from Fort Gratiot. The news of his tragic passing has left his family and friends devastated, and they are now calling for accountability and justice against both the security personnel and the Port Huron Police and Fire Departments.
